Capricorn here, welcoming you to our September blog post! As we transition into autumn, it’s the perfect time to reflect on how we can make a positive impact beyond our day-to-day operations. This month, we are celebrating the International Day of Charity on September 5th.
The Role of Engineering in Charity
Engineering isn’t just about building and innovating; it’s also about problem-solving and creating solutions that benefit communities. At Customate, we believe that our skills and resources can be leveraged to support charitable causes and drive meaningful change. Whether it’s through designing efficient systems, optimising processes, or participating in the local community.
Customate’s Charitable Initiatives
Customate are involved in various charitable initiatives that align with our values and expertise. Here are some highlights of our recent efforts:
Supporting Local Communities: Recently, we made a significant contribution to a local food bank, providing essential supplies to families in need. We believe in giving back to our community.
Charity Days for Our Staff: At Customate, we encourage our team to engage with charitable causes through our charity days program. Each staff member is given the opportunity to take time off to volunteer for a cause they are passionate about. We support our employees in making a difference.
Sustainable Projects: Our commitment to sustainability extends to our charitable efforts. We provide sustainable engineering solutions that help reduce waste and promote greener practices. This includes our modular conveyor system, which saves materials and reduces waste, and our innovative Automatic Distribution System, which saves energy by ensuring trailers are always fully loaded, reducing the number of trips required.
Ongoing Engineering Projects
This month, our engineering team has been busier than ever, continuing to deliver exceptional results across a range of projects:
Major Installation with Meyn: We are in the midst of a significant installation project with our partner Meyn, supplying a large quantity of steel frame, ready for a new processing line at a major UK processor. This project showcases our capability to handle extensive and complex installations, reinforcing our reputation as a reliable engineering partner.
Nationwide Murzan Pump Installations: Our team is also on the move, installing new Murzan pumps up and down the country. These installations are part of our commitment to providing high-quality, efficient solutions that enhance our clients’ operations.
Emergency Response: As always, we are dedicated to responding swiftly to any emergency needs our clients may have. Our ability to react quickly and provide effective solutions sets us apart and underscores our commitment to supporting our clients whenever they need us.
Celebrating Personal Milestones
On a personal note, I’m proud to share that my daughter Chloe recently achieved fantastic GCSE results! She has expressed a keen interest in pursuing a career in engineering, and as a parent, there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing your child show enthusiasm for a field that you’re passionate about. As a diverse and inclusive employer, Customate would be the perfect place for her to explore her interests and grow in a supportive environment. We are committed to nurturing the next generation of engineers, and I couldn’t be more excited about Chloe’s potential future in the industry.
Speaking of celebrations, I’m getting married in October! Invitations have been sent, and my final wedding dress fitting is coming up soon. It’s an exciting time juggling work and wedding planning, but I couldn’t be happier about this next chapter in my life. Thank you all for the kind words and support!
