Celebrating Women’s Engineering Day: A Personal Note from Cap
Hello everyone,
As we celebrate Women’s Engineering Day, I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts and experiences from my journey at Customate Solutions. My name is Capricorn Quinn, but everyone here calls me Cap. It’s been an incredible two years since I joined this amazing team, and I’m honoured to be part of a company that values diversity and the contributions of women in engineering.
My Journey to Customate Solutions
Before joining Customate Solutions, I had a diverse background in office management and business administration. When I first walked through the doors of Customate Solutions, I knew I was stepping into a place where innovation thrives and every team member’s contribution is valued. Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting our talented engineers, ensuring that our operations run smoothly, and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
Celebrating Women’s Engineering Day
This week, as we celebrate Women’s Engineering Day, I want to acknowledge the incredible contributions of women in engineering. It’s a day to reflect on our achievements, recognise our challenges, and reaffirm our commitment to a more inclusive and supportive environment.
Women have made significant strides in engineering, breaking barriers and setting new standards, without pioneers like Ada Lovelace, the world’s first computer programmer, and Hedy Lamarr, whose work led to the development of modern wireless communication, the modern world as we know it would look a very different place. Today, women engineers continue to inspire and innovate in fields such as aerospace, civil engineering, and renewable energy.
At Customate Solutions, we are fortunate to have a team that believes in the power of diversity. Our engineers, both women and men, bring unique perspectives that drive innovation and excellence. I am proud to be part of this journey and to support such a talented group of professionals.
