January Blog Post: Celebrating 25 Years of Customate – A Milestone Year

As we celebrate this milestone, we couldn’t resist taking a fun look at some other things that are also turning 25 this year. Let’s take a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come, both as a company and in the world around us.

Though out this month and year we will celebrate this milestone with more posts regarding what we are planning to do to celebrate this anniversary.

25 Years of Customate

Customate began in 2000 with a vision to provide high-quality, bespoke engineering solutions that would stand the test of time. Since then, we’ve grown into a trusted partner for clients across industries, known for our dedication to innovation, precision, and excellence. From innoative transportation systems to full turnkey projects, we’ve continued to evolve and push boundaries, ensuring our solutions remain cutting-edge.

What Else is 25 Years Old in 2025?

• Google: The tech giant that revolutionised how we search, learn, and connect. Like Google, Customate is committed to innovation and providing solutions that simplify and enhance operations.
• Blutooth: The technology that changed how we share and communicate wirelessly. At Customate, we also value seamless integration—whether in project management or turnkey solutions.
• First Camera Phone: In 2000, the Sharp J-SH04 was introduced as the first true integrated camera phone, revolutionising how we capture and share moments.
• Bob the builder – Bob the builder’s “Can we fix it” was the top selling single of the year 2000 beating “Stan” by eniman into 2^nd place, obviously not a good year for music as who “let the dog’s out” by Baha also made the top 5
• Gladiator – The epic film by Ridley Scott was released in 2000, starring
• Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire – K. Rowling’s fourth book in the Harry Potter series was again the top selling book in 2000

It’s amazing to think of the progress that’s been made in these 25 years, both globally and within our own company.

Looking Forward to 2025

• Talent Development: Growing our apprenticeship program with Lancashire and Morecambe College to support the next generation of engineers.
